
Don’t panic! Your clothes may not be ruined. Follow these 5 simple steps to save clothes that have been stained by color bleeding.
1. Separate the clothes
Remove the stained clothes from the washing machine and separate them from the rest.
Check if the color has transferred to other clothes as well.
2. Wash the stained clothes again
Place the stained clothes back into the washing machine by themselves.
Add ½ cup of white vinegar along with the detergent.
Wash them in cold water using a delicate cycle.
3. Check the clothes
After washing, check if the unwanted color has disappeared.
If not, repeat steps 2 and 3.
4. Soak the clothes
If the color stain remains, place the clothes in a basin with water and ½ cup of white vinegar for about 30 minutes.
Rinse the clothes thoroughly with cold water.
5. Dry the clothes
Let the clothes air dry, away from direct sunlight.
Do not use a dryer, as heat can set the color permanently into the fabric.

Do not use bleach, as it may damage the clothes.
Test the vinegar on a small hidden part of the garment before applying it to the entire piece.
